The General Price Index closed at 1,458.81 points, registering a loss of 0.42%
Downward trends prevailed in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, as mild liquidations took place to secure short-term profits.
The market corrected after six bullish sessions, during which the main stock index registered a total gain of 5.13%.
The General Price Index closed at 1,458.81 points, down 0.42%. The value of transactions amounted to 147.35 million. euros, while 33,521,627 shares were traded.
The large-cap index fell 0.47%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.08%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Jumbo (+1.68%), Ellaktor (+0.98%) and PPC (+1.26%).
On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Piraeus (-2.02%), Lamda Development (-1.93%), ELPE (-1.89%) and Elvalhalcor (-1.76%).
The largest volume of transactions was presented by Eurobank and Alpha Bank, trading 9,276,796 and 7,773,316 shares, respectively.
The highest transaction value was recorded by the National Bank with 27.95 million. euros and Eurobank with 20.77 million euro.
37 stocks moved up, 58 down and 28 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Pairis +6.70% and Alpha Astika Akinita +5.51%.
The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Chaidemenos -8.47% and Mermeren -3.85%.
