Share prices closed slightly lower in today’s session Stock Exchange, although weak upward trends prevailed in most trades. Due to the Christmas holidays the market will be open again on Friday 27 December.
The General Price Index closed at 1,448.86 points, down 0.25%.
Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,458.45 units (+0.41%).
The value of transactions amounted to 88.12 million. euros, while 17,914,667 shares were traded.
The large-cap index fell 0.42%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.38%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of PPC (+2.33%), Ellactor (+1.65%), Sarantis (+1.49%), Coca Cola HBC (+1 .37%) and GEK (+1.21%).
On the contrary, the biggest drop was recorded by the shares of Ethniki (-3.18%), Motor Oil (-1.95%), ELPE (-1.58%), OPAP (-1.21%) and Eurobank (-1.16%).
The largest volume of transactions was presented by Eurobank and Piraeus, trading 3,072,565 and 2,784,712 shares, respectively.
The highest value of transactions was recorded by Nthniki with 12.79 million. euros and Piraeus with 10.80 million. euro.
51 stocks moved up, 49 fell and 17 remained stable, APE BEE reported.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Progressive +8.00% and Premia +6.34%.
The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Kepenou Mills -8.11% and Mermeren -5.00%.
