The stock market closed with a slight increase in today’s session, against the bearish climate of the European markets, but in the midst of low trading activity.
The market completed five consecutive bull sessions, during which the main stock exchange index registers a total gain of 3.02%.
The General Price Index closed at 1,408.05 points, marking an increase of 0.13%.
Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,412.29 units (+0.43%) and a lower price at 1,401.42 units (-0.34%).
The value of transactions amounted to 65.92 million. euros, while 14,655,500 shares were traded.
The large-cap index rose 0.15%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.05%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Ellactor (+3.21%), Ethniki (+1.57%), OPAP (+1.41%) and Viohalco (+1.15 %).
On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of PPC (-1.37%), Aegean (-1.02%), OTE (-0.99%) and EYDAP (-0.69%).
The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 3,137,198 and 3,093,360 shares, respectively, it was pointed out in APE BPE.
The highest transaction value was recorded by the National Bank with 12.09 million. euros and Piraeus with 7.07 million euro.
49 stocks moved up, 41 down and 28 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: ‘Avax +5.87% and Ellaktor +3.21%.
The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Mermeren -9.50% and Attica Bank -5.00%.
