Over 1,400 units at a 13-year high the market
Stock prices closed higher in today’s meeting Stock Exchange, with the market also breaking above the 1,400 levels, closing at near 13-year highs.
The market has completed six consecutive bullish sessions, during which the main stock index recorded a total gain of 3.91%.
The General Price Index closed at 1,403.76 points, marking an increase of 0.56%. It is the highest close since the May 3, 2011 session (1,412.84 points). Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,404.48 points (+0.61%) and a lower price at 1,392.20 points (-0.27%).
The value of transactions amounted to 178.029 million euros, while 42,643,891 shares were traded.
The large-cap index rose 0.52%, while the mid-cap index rose 0.29%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Terna Energy (+3.26%), Lamda Development (+3.08%), Titan (+2.88%), Motor Oil (+ 2.52%), of Ellactor (+2.31%) and Eurobank (+2.11%), reported APE BEE.
On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Coca Cola HBC (-1.97%), Piraeus (-1.28%) and Viohalco (-0.92%).
Eurobank and Alpha Bank presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 15,827,596 and 6,571,989 shares, respectively.
Eurobank recorded the highest value of transactions with 30.43 million euros and National Bank with 18 million euros.
56 stocks moved up, 45 down and 21 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Attica Participations +8.13% and Q&R +8.03%.
The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Vioter -10.00% and Leventeris(p) -9.72%.
