The General Price Index closed at 1,260.52 points, gaining 0.14%
Trading in today’s Stock Exchange session was subdued, as were the European markets, mainly due to the holiday on Wall Street due to Thanksgiving Day.
The market closed slightly higher, at the resistance of 1,260 units, while the turnover marked a significant decline compared to the previous sessions.
The General Price Index closed at 1,260.52 points, marking an increase of 0.14%. Intra-sessionally it moved in a variation range of 6.15 points. It recorded a lower price at 1,254.50 units (-0.34%) and a higher price at 1,260.65 units (+0.15%).
The value of transactions amounted to 77.134 million euros, while 20,388,521 shares were traded.
The large-cap index rose marginally at 0.08% while the mid-cap index also gained 0.08%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Elvalhalcor (+3.07%), Ellactor (+1.79%), Mytileneos (+1.79%) and GEK TERNA (+1. 35%).
On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of Jumbo (-3.91%), Viohalco (-1.08%), Quest (-0.87%) and OTE (-0.85%).
Jumbo’s shares were traded without the right to the extraordinary dividend of 1.47 euros per share.
Of the individual indices, the Industrial Products (+1.56%) and Health (+1.07%) indices recorded the largest increase, while the Personal Products indices (-3.51%) and of Telecommunications (-0.85%).
Eurobank and Alpha Bank presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 3,928,820 and 3,371,372 shares, respectively.
The highest value of transactions was recorded by National Bank with 18.90 million euros and Eurobank with 6.48 million euros.
53 stocks moved up, 51 down and 19 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Doppler +8.44% and Intralot +7.03%.
The biggest fall was registered by the shares: Frigoglass -9.66% and Ktima Lazaridis -6.77%.
