The stock market closed marginally higher in the last session of the week, after two bearish sessions, during which the main stock index recorded losses of 1.60%. Trading activity fluctuated at low levels.
The General Price Index closed at 1,178.79 points, registering a slight increase of 0.12%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,189.66 points (+1.04%) and a lower price at 1,174.95 points (-0.21%).
On a weekly basis, the main stock market index recorded an increase of 0.33%, since the beginning of October, it has declined by 2.53%, while since the beginning of the year it has recorded gains of 26.78%.
The value of transactions amounted to 68.41 million. euros, while 15,585,519 shares were traded.
The large-cap index fell 0.17%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.29%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Terna Energy (+2.99%), PPC (+2.21%), Motor Oil (+2.15%), ELPE (+1 .78%), OTE (+1.62%), Lamda (+1.49%) and Sarantis (+1.44%).
On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of Jumbo (-3.87%), Coca Cola HBC (-1.54%), Piraeus (-1.29%) and National (-1.09%).
Of the individual indices, the biggest rise was recorded by the Utilities (+2.21%) and Oil (+2.06%) indices, while the biggest losses were recorded by the Personal Products indices (-3.56%) and Food (-1.54%).
The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 4,384,978 and 2,942,779 shares, respectively.
The highest transaction value was recorded by Mytileneos with 10.36 million euros and OPAP with 10.06 million euros.
58 stocks moved up, 37 fell and 17 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Chaidemenos +12.61% and Reds +8.44%.
The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Nafpaktos Textiles -4.81% and Karelias -4.55%.
