The new features and new social criteria in this year’s program
The Ministry of Tourism announces that in execution of the Program Agreement signed by the Minister of Tourism, Olga Kefalogianni, on 30/11/2023 for the implementation of the “Tourism for All 2024” program, the relevant Joint Ministerial Agreement was signed today 5/1/2024 Decision.
The program implemented by the Ministry of Tourism and aimed at strengthening domestic tourism demand for 2024, with a total budget of 25,694,539.89 euros and ending on 31.12.2024, has new features and enhanced social criteria, such as:
– increase of the income criterion for everyone by 3,000 euros compared to 2022-2023,
– increase of the amount in the general category from 150 euros to 200 euros for everyone,
– establishment of new categories of special social groups that will receive a 300 euro grant: pensioners of all funds, married or cohabiting parties with three or more children, single and widowed with protected children,
– doubling of the subsidy for our fellow citizens with disabilities or with disabled children, from 200 euros to 400 euros.
In particular, through the Program, following a relevant electronic application and selection through a lottery, a financial facility is granted as follows:
An amount of 200 euros to natural persons who meet the income criteria,
· An amount of 300 euros to natural persons:
– unmarried or widowed with dependent children, based on the last cleared when submitting the 2022 Personal Income Tax Declaration application,
– married or parties to a cohabitation agreement with three or more protected children, based on the last cleared when submitting the application for a joint or separate Personal Income Tax Return 2022.
It is noted that invoking the existence of the above number of children in order to receive the increased aid is only possible once.
– Retirees of all Funds with a final decision to award a pension due to old age until 31.12.2022, who meet the conditions set out in article 2.
An amount of 400 euros, especially for the disabled, with a valid decision of a total disability rate of 67% or more at the time of submitting the application, as well as for beneficiaries with disabled children with a valid decision of a total disability rate of 67% or more at the time of submitting the application application, according to the procedure described in Article 5. It is noted that the invocation of the status of a disabled person is possible once, either by the requested person with a disability or by an applicant with a disabled child, who meet the conditions defined by article 2.
· In the case of a beneficiary who meets the conditions of more than one of the above categories, the application is classified in the category with the maximum subsidy amount.
· The above amounts concern exclusively the beneficiary and do not increase in case of dependent members.
The income criteria for everyone to apply is set as follows:

Potential Beneficiaries are those who have submitted a final Personal Income Tax Return by the deadline for timely submission of tax year 2022 returns, which has been cleared by the final date of submission of applications.
