The unfortunate young man from Kozani lost control of the machine and crashed into the guard rail
A 31-year-old motorcyclist from Kozani died a horrible death in a traffic accident that occurred shortly after 10:00 on Friday morning on Egnatia Odos in the Veria-Kleidi section, one kilometer after the Koulouras interchange heading towards Thessaloniki.
The motorcyclist was traveling in the company of his friend, also a motorcyclist, on a motorcycle borrowed from another friend. According to information cited by the verianet.grthe 31-year-old who was ahead of his friend, appeared to lose control of his big engine and crashed into the road’s guard rail.
The impact was severe and fatal for the 31-year-old, who was literally dismembered. Despite the collision, the machine continued to move on its own and stopped at least 500 meters from the point of impact. An EKAB ambulance arrived at the scene and took the dead motorcyclist. The Veria Traffic Division is investigating the exact causes of the incident.
