“A cold lake surrounds us…
With today’s prognostic data, there are increased chances that the weather in the country will deteriorate significantly due to an area of cold air (cold lake) which will start to “surge” in the eastern Mediterranean.
The main features of this change will be:
- The strong storms in the Aegean, northern Greece and the west (mainly the coastal parts).
- Heavy snowfall even in cities of western Macedonia.
- The many strong winds (northerly in the Ionian, southerly in the Aegean).
- The temperature drop by 4-6 degrees.
I will inform you of any change in intensity and the areas that will be affected.”
