They are Africans
A 22 -year -old Egyptian and a 30 -year -old Sudanese were arrested by men from the Chania Port Authority as traffickers of 58 people who were rescued at Gavdos, On the afternoon of Holy Thursday.
According to the rescuers, they were initiated by Tobruk Libya to be transferred to Greece for a fee.
The Coast Guard announcement:
“Concerning the detection and rescue of fifty -eight foreigners in the maritime area south of Gavdos by a Frontex ship, a 22 -year -old (Egyptian national) and a 30 -year -old (Sudanese national) were arrested yesterday. Libya to move to Greece for a fee.
The two foreigners were arrested for violating article 83 of Law 3386/2005 “Law entered into the country” of article 25 of Law 5038/23 “Transfiguration” as amended and in force with Law 5079/2023 in conjunction with Article 45 of the CC. “Improvement” and Article 306 of the CC report. A mobile device was seized by the Central Port Authority of Chania, which conducts the preliminary investigation. ”
