The General Price Index closed at 1,182.31 points, increasing by 0.56%
With an increase, but well below its intra-session highs, the market closed in today’s Stock Exchange session.
Inflation data in the US turned markets lower, also significantly reducing the domestic market’s strong initial gains.
However, the market completed three bullish sessions during the opium, the main stock market index registering a total gain of 6.39%.
The General Price Index closed today at 1,182.31 points, marking an increase of 0.56%. Intra-sessionally it had exceeded the levels of 1,200 units, recording a higher price at 1,206.94 units (+2.65%).
The value of transactions amounted to 120.55 million euros, while 27,441,506 shares were traded.
The large-cap index rose 0.42%, while the mid-cap index declined marginally at 0.04%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Ellaktor (+3.93%), Viohalco (+3.67%), GEK TERNA (+3.17%), Lamda Development (+2 .92%), Mytileneos (+2.86%) and Terna Energy (+2.24%).
On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of PPC (-2.90%), Eurobank (-1.18%), Piraeus (-0.77%) and Coca Cola HBC (-0.68%).
Of the individual indices, the Industrial Products (+2.51%) and Real Estate (+2.46%) indices recorded the greatest increase, while the Public Utilities indices (-1.26%) recorded the largest losses ) and Food (-0.67%).
The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 8,459,357 and 4,905,465 shares, respectively.
The highest transaction value was recorded by Mytileneos with 17.53 million euros and OPAP with 12.85 million euros.
61 stocks moved up, 44 down and 17 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Kecrops +14.22% and Space Hellas +7.28%.
The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Nafpaktos Textiles -7.92% and Pairis -7.60%.
