The popular actress confessed to an incident of abuse she experienced from her ex-partner
Vana Barba spoke about the abuse of women on the occasion of the relevant theater performance in which she will participate in the show “You haven’t seen anything yet” and confessed the corresponding dramatic moments she herself experienced in the past from her partner.
“More or less in love relationships there are some issues. The issue is how can women set boundaries and understand that this goes beyond jealousy and is just plain hurtful. It tarnishes your soul and your body,” says Vana Barba. “In my time, we grew up with the belief that ‘he’s a man, he can say one more thing.’ Fortunately, the new generation has written these things down”, he emphasizes characteristically.
“For me it wasn’t something barbaric, it was something phobic in the love context. When you go to break up and the other person tells you “you won’t leave, I’ll kill you”, he has this excuse of love. I was scared,” Vana Barba described her own experience. “He tried to stop me from leaving the house, I felt like the cord around my neck was very tight and I couldn’t breathe. Getting out, I started asking for help. There I said that I’m stopping everything, I’m breaking up and I don’t want to see him again in my life,” the actress confessed on the MEGA show.
“I didn’t go to the police station to give a statement but I told him ‘if I hear that you are doing something like this to another woman, you know that you will find me in front of you.’ They didn’t do it again. The shock was great but inside I kind of forgave him”, concludes Vana Barba in her story.
