Award -winning French director Alice Winocour returns, with the movie “Couture” which is expected to travel to the European Cinema Market (EFM).
Starred in Angelina Jolie (Angelina Jolie) in her first role after the film “Maria”, where she starred by the legendary Maria Callas, and she also participates in production.
The drama against the world of high -end sewing, initially entitled “Stitches”, completed the shooting recently in the “City of Light”.
“In frenzy of fashion week, three women cross in Paris, fighting with the tragedies of the world and the questions of their lives: American director Maxine Walker (Jolie), the model from South Sudan Ada and French Makeup Artist Angèle,” The official summary reports. “Through the stories associated with each other, the Couture, explores their female souls and their wounds.”
The lead cast completes model Anyier Anei in his film debut, Swiss actress Ella Rumpf and French actor and director Louis Garrel.
The creative team includes filmmaker Andre Chemetoff, the nominee for many costume designer Pascaline Chavanne and production designer Florian Sanson.
Uta Independent Film Group, which helped fund the film and handles global and North American rights will present the project to the European Cinema Market, the EIA reported.
The production is also shared by CG Cinéma’s Charles Gillibert along with Zhang Xin and William Horberg of Closer Media.
“Couture” is co-produced by France 3 Cinéma, and has been funded by La Région île-de-France, Canal+, Ciné+ OCS, France Télévisions and Chanel.
