The stock market was closed at today’s meeting, after four upward meetings during which the main stock market index recorded high profits of 8.38%. The market has shown resistance to an international downward climate, as worries about corporate profitability are increasing after the news that Nvidia will be borne by burdens due to exporting US restrictions on China.
The General Price Index closed at 1,655.23 points, with a marginal decline of 0.08%.
The value of the transactions amounted to EUR 119.94 million, with 24,645,227 shares.
The high capitalization index declined 0.17%, while the middle capitalization index was up 0.23%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the shares of PPA (+4.45%), Optima Bank (+2.14%), Coca Cola HBC (+1.97%) and Lamda Developmnt (+1.73%) recorded the highest increase.
On the other hand, the shares of Alpha Bank (-2.13%), Elvalhalcor (-1.73%), Jumbo (-1.46%) and National (-1.10%) fell the biggest decline.
The largest volume of trading was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank with 6,238,395 and 5.201.982 shares, respectively, was reported to RES.
Piraeus scored the highest value of transactions with EUR 23.25 million and National with EUR 18.40 million.
48 shares were on the rise, 54 declining and 16 remained stable.
The shares rose the most: Bioter (+8.70%) and Pairis (+7.98%).
The biggest decline was recorded by the shares: Lanakam (K) (-5.56%) and Nafpaktos spinning (-5.41%).
