The excavator overturned due to an as yet unknown cause
An earth-moving machine operator was extricated unconscious at Rethimno. For an unknown reason, the machine overturned and the 50-year-old operator was crushed. The incident happened just before 3 pm in the area of Gallos in Rethymno and the fire department and the EMS were immediately notified.
Two fire engines with 8 men arrived at the scene and managed to extricate the operator. The EKAV rescuers transported him unconscious employee at the Rethymno hospital, reported the APE BEE.
