“In my own texts it doesn’t affect me because I’m too concerned about not offending people”
An interview with Open’s “Breakfast SuSou” show, specifically with Dimitris Milioglou, granted by Zisis Roubos. The actor referred both to the changes brought to his personal life by the arrival of his son, as well as the excesses he sees in the political correctness of what should be said in satire.
“To be completely honest, I will say that the child matured me quite a bit, but most of the maturation fell on my wife. I went back and took my fish out of the childhood leftovers I had. In other words, the most classic thing, which I always say and laugh about, is that the toys I bought especially in the first years for the little one were toys that I wanted. He was five years older than his age,” said Zisis Roubos and continued as follows:
“I think there is an exaggeration in political correctness. In general, as in all stadiums, here too the ball has been lost a little. But it is a bag and it will be found or we will bring a replacement to inflate another one, I hope. In my own writing it doesn’t affect me because I’m very concerned about not offending people in my comedy. I don’t want to polarize or divide. I’m not talking about current events, I’m not talking about people and I’m not talking about politics.
It is my main concern not to offend and not to upset the people who have paid their money to come and see me.”
